My mom just got a virus

She opened an email that said "An e-card from your neighbor". We don't even know our neighbors. Suddenly I hear: "Gray! Come down here! I wanna see what my nieghbor sent me!" So I go down, it just opens to a blank page which was an obvious sign. I google "E-Card Virus" and there are about 100 of them out there. Her laptop goes to the blue screen of death.

Now, you can boot up windows but after it loads the desktop it'll go back to the blue screen  She should've asked me to open it with my computer, because it takes her like 20 minutes to check her email on her computer in the first place. It would've saved her having to get it repaired.
