i've been really into various pop punk bands lately and i know it's an almost-universally despised genre.

i mean those aren't even the worst offenders by pop punk standards, stuff like joyce manor and tiger's jaw are p well received even outside pop punk circles and rate pretty low on the cheese scale imo

neck deep / real friends / ataris are def cheesy tho, esp RF (sleeeepy eyes / bony knees lol)

anyway pretty much everything i enjoy could prolly be called cheesy, i think i exclusively like 'objectively' Bad Music at this point, but w/e i like what i like.
brb while i expose some old stuff only a teenager could / should love.

man this video/style is so terribly dated now but i still enjoy this album a lot lol, they had good hooks and a good rhythmic sense.
this entire genre is painfully saccharine and cheesy tho and ftsk are no exception.
i non ironically love this band even tho the lyrics / record scratching are cringy af. but the mix of mildly djenty mosh-metalcore &
pop punk & RnB vocals is v appealing to my bad tastes. i can start to feel this already getting dated tho and i can see this not aging well like that ftsk song/video hasn't
this is one of my all time fav pop punk bands, i find the overwhelming posi-ness endearing. best pop-punk 2-step of all time in this track.
