My Xbox controller rubber thingy broke

I was thuggin it up playing DBZ Budokai 3 on the HD collection for Xbox 360 and I had a beam clash like when two energy attacks collide and I had to rotate the control stick really fast and the rubber thing on the controller broke off because I was using my palm like in Mario Party and now the controller is really sharp and it hurts my thumb. What can I do to fix this?

Also I already tried putting it on, it won't stay. It was fixed with some sort of adhesive which was sticky when it fell off.

They didnt bring it back, it was  already there.
