That place is bloody awesome. Gonna pay off my second expansion and my bridge in no time

U can make decent money on the island by catching beetles during the evening

Beetles are the way to go in the evening/night time, as mentioned. I would recommend also chopping down the majority of your trees and all bushes to maximize spawn points of beetles.

It's okay though I still managed to get 300,000 bells in a couple hours from fish. Which I guess is easier with beetles but I feel like Mrs. Turtle would hate me for chopping down all the truffula trees

there was a fishing tourney today

the fact that you can use any fish means it's pretty much impossible to lose because almost any decently sized fish from the island is way bigger than anything your villagers could catch

and just to spite them i entered a 205-inch whale shark, which won by 180 inches lol

Yeah i wish I had started with a smaller fish though because i thinkthe fishing furni ture is pretty awesome.  So Iwas only able to break my initial record 3 more times and once I didn't even get fishingfurni turefor uit

i didn't really wanna spend an eternity doing it so that was enough for me. caught one load of fish at the island and went progressively higher in inches with them.
