I started with "our nation's saving grace" and "slates".
Probably not the best choices, looking back, but there's not really a way to just dip your toes in.
Jump headfirst into whatever you can find, I say.

Judging by your music preferences, you could probably just start anywhere and not get lost.
They're a lot of fun.
