Go Down

Hiro

I finally got around to checking my grades for last semester, as I was scared to look before.

My engineering teacher failed me, even though he said he wouldn't. I got a C in computer science, as expected. I have a P in radio, and I in math, and I have no idea what that means.  F in psychology, as expected.

They've placed me on academic probation, meaning I must keep a 2.0 term gpa, and it cannot drop below that. I also cannot take more than 13 credits, so I have to drop a class. I remain on academic probation until my cumulative gpa reaches 2.0
I need to meet with my counselor now to see what the fuck I'm going to do.

How the hell will I be able to get an engineering degree? I probably won't.

Fuck me.

Mando Pandango

I probably means incomplete.

On the bright side, you did better than I did when I went for an engineering degree.
I dropped out.
How do you get a C in any computer class.

You sit there and type shit.
Not even. You draw porn in photoshop and call it a day. It doesn't even have to be good. Just a dick in squiggly-lines.

Think of it as a learning experience instead of the beginning to the end, or something equally along those lines.
Sit down with a counselor, or yourself, and try to systematically isolate your negative study/homework habits that might be getting in the way.
Basically, use last semester as a template for what you should not do and fix it. It sounds easier than it is, because it is, but if you're serious about your program, you'll step things up and push yourself a little more.

I ended up on probation once actually. After that semester I changed my major and have been far more successful.
Maybe the program you've chosen isn't really striking you where it should?

But, regardless, keep a positive attitude and kill some of those thoughts that exude anxiety, because they dont help. Think of next semester as a clean slate where you can kick some ass.

Best of luck, man.

It's computer science you fuckface. We would lecture us each day and then give us assignments on code to write, half the semester in a made-up language called alice, and the other half in rudimentary java.

Well we only had one essay and it was during class
I only finished half of it by the end of class <3
And then I just did generally shitty on all the tests, probably because I didn't read the book much because I had the wrong one. thumbup;

None of my teachers ever had their grades posted besides the required midterm grades.  doodthing;

But to everyone else, yeah I know. I most definitely have to get on the fucking ball next semester. I just don't know how I'm going to do it.

How do you not finish the essay in the required time? I have never understood how people do that. If you can't finish you're writing far too much for what is needed.  akudood;

but yea good luck getting yourself straight next semester Hiro. Do whatever you need to cause you really don't want to fail out.

When I have to write essays in class, I usually tense up and can't focus for a good portion of the time.  goowan

Also, the requirement was 2 pages. I finished one page. Writing a lot doesn't naturally come to me.
