Bear with me, I have never done any torrenting (that'll be pretty obvious in a moment) so this may sound really basic to some of you guys. You see, my ISP gives us a monthly download cap of 20GB/month. If we go beyond that, we pay $8 per additionnal gig. My question is: in the end, is a file downloaded by torrent the same as a file downloaded normally in terms of the quantity of transfered data?
