when you are playing with someone else.  doodella;


cause the core platforming is rather boring. But the idea of working together and competing for the most points allow you to ignore the plain platforming elements.

also the level creator is really high quality and there's an amazing overall customization level but none of that matters if the actual gameplay is bad.

Gears of war 2 definetly
Fallout 3 doesn't have multiplayer
and LBP is fun but I still find Gears one of the best games this gen.

This thread was made a little too early. Games like Mirror's Edge and Left 4 Dead still have to be released and they look more innovative than half the games on the poll listing.

Innovation =/= Great

They do look entertaining though, Mirror's edge might pull it off.

Of course, I'm just going by the video's I've seen, I haven't played a demo of it or anything.

I'd rather play something new than the same shooter or sandbox game.

seriously, almost of the GOTY material games on the poll listing are sequels except for LBP.
