Exor? Use Geno Whirl and get the timing right for 9999 damage. Press A when the last whirl is on screen.

Use Mallow and his Shocker. Yardovich is weak to electric.

Like ms44 said, use Shocker. Just use physical attacks for your other characters. Or bombs, if you have them, although that would probably be overkill.

Use physical attacks on one of the eyes to disable the shield around the "Exor" on the top of the sword, and then Geno Whirl it. Only time Geno Whirl really works on a boss, as far as I know.

I usually saved all my Red Essences, Rock Candies, and bombs for that battle.

Rock candy. This isn't Pokemon.

But you shouldn't need those anyway considering you can just Geno Whirl it and kill it within like 3 turns.

Exor is the only boss it works on.

Magic attacks can be timed just like regular attacks... I told you when to press the action command. When the last whirl hits the enemy press Y.

Where are you stuck in the temple? The aim of the whole ordeal is to get to Belome's room so you can bash his skull in and proceed to Monstro Town.
