I also got that thearhythm ff game when it came out.
It is very fun actually, and i even downloaded some songs for it, like COsmo canyon from 7 and fighting fate from xiii.

yes i own it, havent beaten it yet, but i think that the gameplay is better than xiii, but the story is weaker than xiii's to be sure....

i would have to agree about the gameplay though the monster system does bring artificial difficulty
i hate that there is no way to break the 99,999 damage limit unlike ff xiii
but i do like the infusion system so i can teach my ravager lightning all her elemental spells
the story is definitely weaker with time travel [spoiler=spoils]and doesn't really explain why changing the future would change the past[/spoiler]

I fully agree actually.
Those are all true points
still a good game though, although ffxiii-3 is apparently inevitable which is kinda annoying
