You just have to retake each indavidual class you failed next year, but you're still in the next grade.

it basically pushes you through, and if you do shitty and only manage to take freshmen-level classes by the time you graduate, you can put in your application for McDonalds

How did you manage to fail freshman year?

Yeah because I started school late lol.

I'm supposed to be in HS now, but I'm only in 8th. It's not because I failed or anything.

I could've skipped fifth grade to go into sixth, but my counselor kept putting the test off saying, "you can do it next week, next week, next month..." I did well enough to be able to jump into sixth, but by the time I had finally taken the test, I was into the last quarter and it was too late. :'(
