...To see if they had any old Macs laying around that they wanted to get rid of. I know at least one of them did at one point (because I went there several years ago), and I emailed my own school too, because I KNOW they have like 20 Mac Classics or something in their basement, but they keep ignoring my emails...

why stop at macs

just get all the shitty pcs you can find, get a network switch or something, and make your own beowulf cluster powerofone;
