yeah i think the idea of a nu-male is more like that of a showy-but-shallow pseudomasculine young male, not a self-aware metrosexual lol

no, it isn't necessarily douchey lol, it's potentially a little nu-maleish (and again that isn't necessarily a bad thing), and in truth it is more particular to an individual's own æsthetix than if below x age and y bmi, then shave (although i still think that's generally a good guideline)

and admittedly, i do have some ulterior motives lol sillydood;

The thing about Joe Rogan is that I don't always agree with what he says, but I often do, and if nothing else he seems like a well-educated guy who actually learns about things before he just says shit. He's super opinionated which can be offputting and he might be a real actual centrist, both of which can be off-putting, but I think he's a genuinely interesting dude.

nu-female might not have its own separate entry, but things like

  • thick plastic frames (esp. w/o functional lenses)

  • nintendo switch ownership

  • gets cucked by bf/husband

  • using the word "literally"

  • blogging

  • etc.

still apply to both sexes lol

but here are two examples specifically for women:

  • calls husband "hubby"

  • calls herself "preggers" or "preggo" during pregnancy

Ok ?

lol

nu-female might not have its own separate entry, but things like

  • thick plastic frames (esp. w/o functional lenses)

  • nintendo switch ownership

  • gets cucked by bf/husband

  • using the word "literally"

  • blogging

  • etc.

still apply to both sexes lol

but here are two examples specifically for women:

  • calls husband "hubby"

  • calls herself "preggers" or "preggo" during pregnancy

Other than owning a switch that's not me.

The Undertale one is honestly my favorite but it's even more nu-male than Zelda and I understand that

i own at least two zelda shirts, a kirby shirt with giant bubbly japanese text, an uncharted 3 shirt, a pac-man sweater, and possibly others i'm forgetting

i haven't actually worn any of them outside of the house since high school though lol (i don't think i've ever worn the uncharted one, and the kirby one can only be decorative as it's way2small for me anyway)

I don't wear gaming-related apparel much. I have a couple Pokémon t-shirts I haven't worn in a fairly long time, and cosplays, but that's pretty much it. I tend to stick with shirts that are plain, basic non-vivid floral, or Disney. I also have a nasa one and one with a cat silhouette.

I don't know if tec would consider this part of the nu-whatever umbrella, but I think it might:

Lately I've been consuming about as much if not more meal-replacement junk than real meals, mostly because of a combination of laziness+depression+apathy. It's stuff like Soylent, protein shakes, other nutrition shakes (Equate, Boost, etc), and various nutrition bars like Clif and Larabar.

Even those "real meals" for me usually amounts to stuff like fast food, frozen meals, cold-cut sandwiches, canned fruit, cereal, and yogurt

I don't think I'm entirely opposed to the kind of diet that's basically consuming 5 Soylent bottles a day (each one is 400 cal, 20% DV of everything in the nutrition facts table), but that's expensive. With each 12-pack being $39, I think that calculates to about $16/day + tax (minus moderate Amazon discounts), which apparently tons of reviewers (who I'm guessing must live somewhere like San Francisco) claim is "really cheap" but to me is undoubtedly more than I'd spend on meals even if I order out for every meal every day. Instead I've been drinking more like one a day lately. Occasionally maybe two.

Other diet/nutrition products definitely have very unbalanced nutritional value, but Soylent is specifically designed to perfectly meet the needs of an average adult based on the current understanding of nutritional science. Of course that's really inaccurate compared to personalized nutritional needs and nutritional science has a long way to go, but it's not like the other stuff I'd otherwise consume is anywhere near the same ballpark.

I have a case of the strawberry in my fridge and a box of original powder that my sister gave me
kettu hates the original but i think it's just fine, it tastes like pancake batter.
the strawberry is p good though

I hate the original 2.0 too, but I haven't tried the powder version yet.

All current versions of Soylent do indeed contain Soy as a top ingredient, but I think some of the older versions of the powder didn't have any soy despite the name.

The powder is available in large tubs that say you need to consume it within 30 days of opening, so if you just have a little bit the rest doesn't last that long, while the liquid is always packaged separately per-serving and doesn't have that problem.

I don't remember the chocolate one all that much but the coffee one was like they took normal soylent and added instant coffee powder to it.

I got somebody that uses that and half the time sends a group text message to my email instead of my phone number. And that, and any replies from everybody else, ends up being in .txt attachments in separate emails for each reply.

I can only assume that they're typing my name in as one of the recipients, and selecting the first result without actually checking it. And I guess for some reason that happens to be my email address instead of my phone number .

I don't know if that's just their problem or an imessage problem. II've never used it so I don't know how it's laid out.

that was actually meant for hiro but it applies to both your posts

it's really both their fault, but apple has absolutely no reason to 'fix' a problem that only makes their devices look and function better in comparison to cheap loser glitchy green bubble lagroids lol

and it's possible that google can't create a unified messaging platform that integrates seamlessly with imessage for valid reasons like patent infringement, but they could certainly do a better job than they're doing now

alright if we're gonna whip out pseudoscientific interpretations of the potential effects of soy on human physiology:

  • east asians eat more soy than anyone else

    give me all the soy

asians are pretty petite and by the standards of the world, not considered  very manly.

They are the least desired male race according to polls of women

I am confused

east asia may be full of soy civilizations but it's not made up of soyboys lol

soyboys are the ones like snowy's friend who apparently went into a panic attack over soy anxiety

Quote from: Snowy on July 31, 2018, 08:35:52 PMI called someone on discord a soy boy and they said they had a panic attack because of it. If that isnââ,¬â,,¢t a reason to not eat soy I dunno what else is

LOL

soyboys are the ignorant and insecure males who are legitimately afraid that soy will feminize them or steal their gainz, and who apparently live and die by 4chan memes lol

and if women in general prefer soyboys to asian males in general, then women in general have shit taste

me being one of the few who has non-shit taste bassir;
