Title: A quick thought on why rougelikes suck, by David, inspired by Thyme.

Any genre that is solely defined by being 'like' another game cannot truly be its own independent genre.  Also, I have no desire to actually read up what any rougelike is.

although it is funny how roguelikes are called roguelikes because while they share the same principles to the original rogue, the genre has evolved so much and "rogue-lites" dont resemble rogue at all besides core principles (randomized and permadeath)

the genre really should have a better name but there's not much you can do at this point
this is what happen when the whole genre stems from meganerds over the last 30 years doesnt touch mainstream audiences
mega nerds dont care about nice names
