Title: favorite BJM albums/songs
Post by: snoorkel on February 18, 2012, 11:50:58 PM
I think enough of us like this excellent abnd (the Blow Job Masters) to have a friendly and civil discussion about our respective favorites.

of all of the albums I can't listen to Methodrone enough, it is that beautiful place where Dreams and heroin and psychedelia meet in the middle of the 1990s back when "indie" was a cool thing. okay enough pretention let's watch space vids

and i also like this song a lot because it's just like soooo what i feel and i just want tosay yea (like all grunge n shit, but with an acoustic guitr!!)

Hey, the dandies have some listenable songs and everything maybe.

But yeah, mental illness is a natural favorite of mine. I just kind of accidentally stepped into it one day and fell in love with anton and his direction.

Bravery, repetition and noise has a little bit of a different sound to it, something that really grew on me.

Strung out in heaven is probably the most conventionally musical one, and it feels much more "produced" and everything, so that's kind of cool I guess.

I don't think Anton would play pitchfork ever.

But, their tours are pretty comprehensive if they can actually finish them. Just wait for him to hit the road after the new album drops.

i really don't know anything about anton as a person or anything

they got the dismemberment plan to play last year, i suppose you could kinda draw parallels, that was my only line of thinking  akudood;

I don't know. I thought he was off that horse and on red bull now instead. I think it's more just overall burn out.

But, there's those gaps where anton tries to get into this deeper question and then just freezes, and there's this awkward pause as he kind of hangs his head. And then when he's hinting towards andrew working with him and when he's trying to offer resources and he's like "I know people all over the world, everywhere", you can cut the awkwardness with a butter knife.

That girl he was with was really strung.
