I found my gameboy color recently with the handful of games I never sold, been looking around eBay to try to relive some old classics. what should I get?
So far I have/am watching:
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (god this came was SO HARD when I was 6 but I beat 75% of it in an hour yesterday)
Link's Awakening DX (because my original has a dead battery)
Super Metroid II (never played this oddly)
Super Mario Land
Zelda Oracle of Ages
Pokemon Silver (this might not still be fun but I dearly hope it is)
Tetris
I had this warioland one when I had my gameboy color that was fucking awesome. You had to set him on fire and flatten him and shit to get through the level.
That was fun.
I lent my pokemon silver to a friend, and he still had fun with it. And tetris is always awesome!
My favorite game boy color games were Dragon Warrior Monsters, and Mario Golf. Although DWM is a huge time investment, since it was basically pokemon.
I really can't think of any other Game boy games, although I'd love to play Metroid 2.
There was super mario land 3: warioland
And there were the Donkey Kong lands...but I think those were just crummy ports of DKC.
oh yeah, warioland might be fun, I never played those.
I've always hated most DK games for some raisin.
Yeah, go with mario golf
also mario tennis was fun, but that actually might be for the gba
also there was this hunting/fishing game and a redneck named bubba was the main character it was pretty fun.

be careful getting pokemon gen II, it's really hard to find a cart that doesn't have a dead battery. they die faster than most GB games because they have to keep the internal clock. but yes it will definitely still be fun.
good point. I won one on ebay today maybe it will work.
even if the battery is dead, you could always replace the battery
i'm sure it's as simple as soldering a new one in, just like on larger cartridges

I have all three, Gold/Silver/Crystal, and all of them have a still-functioning clock battery giggle;
I need to try most of the games listed here, as I have played almost nothing on GBC but Pokemon :(
diddy kong racing

all three of mine have dead batteries and a lot of the copies i've seen at the flea market do as well. :(
also pokemon pinball was a fantastic game
yes, I fucking loved pokemon pinball.
pokemon pinball is indeed pretty awesome, and of course serves an interesting distinction as "that one game that had the rumble pak"
of course, i rarely kept a battery in it to enable rumble, but it was pretty cool simply because it was like the only game boy game at the time that could do that
at least the only one that i know of
I still have my GameBoy Camera goowan
the arcade games in that are some of the best games ever.
There was a kirby game with the rumble feature, i believe.
