THE MIND IS A MARVELOUS THING SIR
It's definitely spinning a certain way in full circles, it is impossible to judge which direction, cause it can be either way.
Though it appears as though it is bouncing back and forth because the indent ends up looking like the front of the face as it comes around to view.
I can make it do both

Nor can I
I can only get it to spin if I focus on something that's not on my monitor. n_u

that's because it is a terrible example, requiring either some Buddha like zen or brain damage, to 'see' anything else. the other one is reasonable, as both illusions can be easily manipulated.
it's really simple just follow the nose

If you cover up everything but the foot and tell yourself it's going the other way you can make it happen. It's hard sometimes though
what's so optical illusional about the mask
it just spins
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SPIN THE OTHER WAY
for the lady one i can make it turn either way
it's hard for me to see it make a complete spin though, she just stops halfway and changes direction cry;

that does help, yeah. it's funny, but once i get her to turn counter clockwise, it then becomes difficult to switch her back!
the lady works fine but i can't get the face to do anything
