I like Wind Waker the best even though I don't really like the ocean very much. But the art style, story, characters, nearly everything in it was just super good and very creative. Plus there's a ton of extra stuff to do.  baddood;
I'm hoping Skyward Sword will become my new favorite  :3

Exactly, Wind Waker is just so fucking great. thumbup;
I like the original Zelda so much probably because of it's minimalism. Not a whole lot of story, you're not guided to the next area, etc. It's just lots of fun. But then again I haven't played LttP as much, so maybe that will change when I play it more.

Also just a a note, I put that line there to separate the good games from the not good games.

FS was barely a whole game so it's at the bottom. Zelda II is mostly as low as it is because it infuriates me and it's impossible. I can't beat the second dungeon. Haven't played FSA or any of the DS titles.

Majora's Mask also happens to be my favorite game of all time.

Zelda II is way too fucking hard, that's really my only large complaint against it. I mean, yeah there are harder NES games, but it's goddamn ZELDA. Shouldn't be too hard, right? Haha, think again, fuckers!

Maybe it should be tied in with Ocarina and Zelda II and ALttP/FS, but that's a lot of tying. :'(

Wind Waker has, since I first played it, been my favorite Zelda game. I see a lot more love for it on the Internet now than I did back then. Below that, the order of the ones I played recently enough to remember is something like:
Ocarina of Time
Link to the Past
Minish Cap
Twilight Princess
Zelda 1
Four Swords Adventures
Phantom Hourglass
Adventure of Link

I hardly remember LttP at this point but could still place it and I remember almost nothing about Majora's Mask or the Oracle games. I probably should replay them all sometime soonish.
I've never played Link's Awakening, Spirit Tracks, or those spinoffs I can't even remember the names of now.

Wind Waker gets better every time I play it. It's my favorite. Then Ocarina of Time. I don't really like the other games.

I actually just had this talk with my roommate. He always thinks that OoT is "the undisputed best Zelda game" and I just think that Wind Waker is much more fucking amazing. There's so much to do in it, the music and look of the game are perfect, and Ganon is more badass than he ever was in that game.

Majora's Mask is second only because of how long you can play the game without actually playing the storyline.

ALttP and Link's Awakening are next, followed by OoT, then Ages/Seasons.

The rest I put in the not good category.

Ganon isn't just more of a badass in Wind Waker, he's also more of an actual character. It was the first time Ganon had much depth to him. His reasons for turning to evil to acquire to the Triforce, etc.
