I almost wish that I would have never boughten a flash cart and gotten into PC piracy and everything. Whenever I get stuck in a game, pirated or non-pirated, I give up instantly, because I have so many games on the table to play and getting out of my position being stuck in the game at hand becomes a lower priority. I have so many unfinished games because of this and it sickens me. I also miss going out and buying games. Coming home with a brand new game and popping it in my console was such a rewarding experience. Now I have barely any obligation to buy games that I can't pirate, simply because I have so many pirated games that I could play.
Have any of you experienced this?
I experienced the lack of caring when Nintendo stopped caring.

okay that has nothing to do with piracy
ban ban ban
I dont buy games anymore.
Actually, I dont really play them anymore.
I got a flashcard for my ds and I occasionally swipe a game here or there to spend a slow day or two on, but I dont really have much of an interest anymore.
So I occasionally pirate a ds game and if I do, I play through it.
Well I just got my 360 modded, so.... n_u
i don't pirate, so no
Felt the same way.
I like to support the companies that make the games I enjoy. If I don't want to pay for a game then I must not really want to play it.
So no.
The only game I've ever pirated was Spore

My friend did and I played it at his house
Eh, Scribblenauts almost deserves to be pirated.
In retrospect, not a very good game.
Guess I won't get Scribblenauts baddood;

Nah, go for it. The controls seem to break later in the game when things get more complex, but when things work out, it's great.

but i don't have a lot of money and I'd rather buy something good if everyone's complaining about it baddood;
Then do the pirate thing.
I don't pirate games, so I just leave games unfinished the old fashioned way
I never have pirated and never will.
And I'm too OCD about things to leave it unfinished.
I never will pirate video games.
the only game i've ever pirated was star fox 2 y/n
i pirated mother 3 and earthbound but quit playing them pretty early on

I got to Saturn village and stopped because it was too awesome for me to continue.
I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but when I pirate a game, I don't feel at all obligated to finish. When I buy a game, I try my hardest to sit through the game even if I don't like it (although that's not the case with Super Paper Mario and a few others), because I'll feel like I wasted money if I don't finish it. So without that driving factor, I either get stuck or bored and stop playing a pirated game.
Pirated Earthbound on two separate occasions and only played until you could first save and never played again. Kept playing on my third try, loved it, moved on to M3, beat it in three days because it was so awesome and I loved EB.. But for the most part, I can't get motivated to play all those games I pirated.

Agreed 100%.
Even if the game isn't that great, I am still obligated and I usually force myself to love it.

My brother likes it, but even he stopped playing.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that one of the reasons I never finish a rom is because I don't feel like sitting at a computer playing all the time. At least on a console I get to sit back against my bed or lie down. Oddly enough, I have no problem being at the computer for hours when on the internet.

Yeah, gotta get your money's worth out of it.
With piracy your money's worth is nothing so you can just give up and not feel like you wasted money.
I actually agree with you, though I don't pirate games, I've played my fair share of ROMs and experienced the same thing as you.
For me, I buy a game and force my way through it even if I'm dragging my feet. It's different if I haven't payed anything for it. Like when I bought Final Fantasy 7 and didn't find it as amazing as everybody else. I didn't have a lot of fun, but I beat the damned thing and got the sense of accomplishment from it.
Then I emulated Final Fantasy 8, got pissed with it a few hours in, and deleted it from my computer. If I'd have bought the game, I'd have forced my way through it like I did FF7.
I set personal rules in place.
