Title: FourSquare.com and other related websites - Real life achievements.
Post by: The artist formally known on October 19, 2009, 06:25:16 AM
I really really really like the idea of these websites that you earn points for doing things in your area.

http://foursquare.com/

In reality it's twitter with locations but if built right these could be very awesome. For example if you do a certain quest in your town, like see a concert or go to a midnight release party the people who host the event can give out a code or something and entering it online gets you the quest completed.

Or free goodies if you show a code to the event hostess.

The main problem with FourSquare is you only really get something out of it if your friends join and there aren't many cities currently supported.

I found that people just love collecting things. Look at the games on facebook, or achievements on 360.
