I've never been very close to either of mine, consciously because I prefer to keep to myself and probably subsconsciously because when they got divorced it fucked up my childhood ideas of parenting
I don't hate them and do love them but I am very distant from both of them
I'm close to my mom, but i still keep almost everything to myself. We get along well is all. My dad is fine and we're on good terms i guess but i find him annoying often and we're not the closest. But overall my relationship with my parents is fine, not too close but not distant either.
With my dad, I'm distant, whenever we're around we usually get into retarded arguments, so we try to keep our conversations short.
With my mom, somewhat distant. Language barrier, my Spanish sucks so some of my sentences don't come out right and sometimes sound rude to her and we get into arguments and such.
Your mom and you speak separate languages? goonish
Between distant and disownership for my mother and stepfather.
Disowned by my father. baddood;
idk
They still live together, and I still live with them. To most we'd be friendly, but I actually don't talk to them much (as I don't talk much in general).
To my mom, very close. To my dad, I dunno, I love him and all but I'm distant, and I don't really talk to him anymore.
Considering I've never even talked to my father, I'm definitely not close at all to him.
I don't tell my mother much at all so I'm not really that close with her. But not entirely distant or anything.

i speak english, my dad speaks spanish and pretty good english. my mom speaks spanish but her english is bad. my spanish sucks ass
Me and my mom are pretty close. Me and my dad are close too, but we don't talk much. Not because we don't like each other or anything, but mostly because we're pretty quiet in real life and we usually don't have anything to talk about. We joke around a bunch, tho. giggle;

Yeah, pretty much that for me too. hocuspocus;
me and my mom are close...mostly avoid talking to my dad as much as possible, i mean he's ok but sometimes he's just an enormous douchebag
Well, I don't know my father at all. befuddlement
I guess I'm friendly enough with my mother though, I don't tell her everything though.
We all joke around, but I never actually share my thoughts and feelings about things.
I could be Hannah Montana and they wouldn't know.
i love them but we're not very close. i dont talk to them that much anyway. i think my dad might believe that im still 8.
my family life is really strange.
i love both of my parents.
yesterday my dad lit up a joint in the car. this was really funny to me at the time (and now) because when he asked me if i wanted some i think that was his way of bonding.
i love my parents. they're both funny people who have provided a privileged and happy life for me and my siblings.
I'm not distant with either one, but I definitely don't tell them anything. Even "how was school". I just say "fine". School is never fine, but it's an easy answer. Maybe I am distant, come to think of it. But I'm friendly with them, so they don't suspect a thing. Like with most people, I don't talk to them unless they say something to me first.
I hate my stepmom though. Maybe not hate, but tolerate. Everything she does rubs me the wrong way.
uh idk what to compare it to
hey wait i thought everyone on the internet was supposed to hate their parents and themselves and everybody who's supposed to love them because NOBODY UNDERSTANDS ME BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Anyway, my parents and I are pretty close. Not to the point where they tell me everything, and my mom flat out told me that there's some stuff I shouldn't tell her, she'd rather not know. Her exact words were, "Just lie to me."
Also, on a related note, my sister and I are VERY close. I probably could tell her just about anything.

That's better.
Eh... I guess we're ok as long as we're kept apart. The more time we're together, the tenser relations get. My mom's really stressed out a lot so she freaks out about little stuff and then my dad has war fatigue which causes him to completely blow up at absolutely nothing

which war
your dad has ptsd? that's terrible

which war
He was involved in the Cold War, Bosnian War, and Iraq war... I think most of the effects have come from the Iraq war though, since the most significant change in his personality happened after he came home from it

Well I don't know that that's been the actual diagnosis, but he has almost a split personality now... Sometimes he's like his old self, other times he'll get angry if you so much as talk to him. And this is after he completed counseling

idk man, having them stay together and fight everyday is pretty fucking annoying...
doodthing;
I really am not close to them.
But I get along with my mom on an adult level.
