It looked pretty retarded at first, but now it seems kinda neat, even if it looks like a Mylo. The thing is, what about the games that are only on UMD?

Do they have a price for it yet? If it's over $200 I won't get it.

My guess is that between now and when the new PSP is released, they'll be adding more UMD legacy titles to the PS Store, and then all new titles will all be available on UMD and a downloadable.  Though Grant, if you're really interested in hacking a PSP, why not just get one that's already proven to be hackable?  Plus I don't really see who it's supposed to appeal to, the analogue nub seems to be in a really awkward position.

I do think he said it was at a 'premium' to the current PSP, but the only reason why I could imagine it being one is if it had an OLED screen, and I don't think it does, but I could be wrong.  And I don't see why it'd be over $200, maybe they'll drop the price on the standard PSP and price the new one at $169.

I'm guessing that they will become digital downloads, since it comes with so much damn memory for a portable.

I hope so, that would be a great thing of them to do.
At the same time, I can't see them putting EVERY PSP game on the store...

The analog nub look like it's in a fine place, actually.
But uh, I have been considering getting a PSP-2000 for quite some time, actually. But this thing also looks nice, and I think it might be a better choice if it can be hacked.

I'm not sure, it looks like it'd be in a really weird place to me.

No.  If you're going by what IGN said earlier, they must have mistaken the start and select buttons as the second analogue nub.

No it's actually a good idea since now the PSP could have things like quality first person shooters.
DSi exclusives are retarded since the only new feature is a camera.

I'm pretty sure with the release of the DSi and this new PSP model, we'll have the current handheld systems for a while.

Because this gen will be around for a few more years means I don't think they should hold off on the 2nd analog nub?  doodhuh;

Didn't read most of the thread, but IGN said something about an interview and it does play UMD's.

In that case, hell yeah!

Quote from: From IGN:Yes, for some reason the latest episode of Qore is live and features host Veronica Belmont speaking in the past tense about E3 and getting a private demo of the PSP Go from SCEA Director of Hardware John Koller. Want the deets? Well, imagine a smaller PSP-3000 where you slide the top portion up to reveal the D-Pad, Select button, Start button, and traditional face buttons. The screen is going to be 3.8 inches, the unit is 44 percent lighter than the PSP-3000, there's no UMD drive, there's a Memory Stick micro slot, it's Bluetooth compatible so that you can use a headset and link it to your cell phone, and the unit packs 16 gigabytes of flash memory.
