Title: after about 5 years
Post by: russell on April 02, 2009, 06:18:12 PM
I finally like Modest Mouse. It's a band I've wanted to like for years but just never have. Today I heard "Lounge (Closing Time)" on the radio, picked up the album it's on, and it's pretty rockin.

Can any modest Mouse fan (HA! HA HA) recommend a similar album of theirs?

I really want to like them but I can't get into them... Float On is the only song I enjoy

I haven't bothered giving Modest Mouse a chance yet. I've heard "Float On" too many times in my life.

Long Drive is actually a really good album. It's wilty, disorganized and blatantly out of tune, which is a good thing in its case.

Good news is a piece of over-produced junk, except for "Blame it on the Tetons".

So, basically, get Long drive and ignore the others.
