akudood;
The only problem is it's kinda far away so it might be hard to get someone to take me there.
I pre-ordered the blue DSi. I can wait until April.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I'm getting Rhythm Heaven with it. giggle;

I traded my DS Lite at Gamestop for store credit and put it towards the DSi. bassir;
Gamestop has a promotion that if you pre-order a DSi, you get 1000 DSi Points. giggle;

Well, with the DS Lite credit, it covered $70. So with Rhythm Heaven and the rest of it, it should be around $115 or so because I bought the Gamestop insurance.

Whoever buys the DSi is just retarded
I'm not buying one but it should be fun to play around with

This.
The only improvements are the D-Pad and the non-glossy feel to it.
Other than that, you're paying for a shitty camera and a shitty app store.

Correction, whoever buys the DS Lite is just retarted. Of course they no longer manufacture the DS Phat, but I've tried a DS Lite before and it's the same thing only smaller. Also, the DS Lite is too small for my hands anyway.
(ignores stylus and lighting improvements)
I still want a gameboy micro

Hell I've still got my original GBA, complete with dead shoulder buttons and a missing battery cover. goowan
DS Lite was way better than the fat.
This is true

No there's an excuse to buy the DS lite (Mine for example is that my old DS was shit and broke)
There's no excuse to pay for the DSi though. IT DOESNT EVEN PLAY GAMEBOY ADVANCED GAMES akudood;
I'm going to buy it in a few months. Just because I had the org. Phat DS then sold it. Now I want to get a DSi so I can play all the RPGs that have come out that I've missed. Also I'm hoping for lots of Homebrew.

Only like two flashcarts can run on the DSi.
DSLite is the way to go.

Get the DS lite then
the DSi does not have a fucking GBA port = Pokemon Platinum/D/P/ any GBA pokemon titles are useless seeing as I love my pokemon, that's just bullshit.

You're an idiot. The lighting improvement, less bulky size, and side compartment for the stylus were the main incentive for buying one and they were damn good reasons. Light was dim as hell and the DS phat really was fat. DSi is a nerfed DS Lite and that's just a waste of money seeing as there are no future DS titles being released that will be specifically made with DSi functions included so who should pay money for one?

If you want homebrew, why the hell don't you just get a flashcart and the lite with the EZ Flash 3 in 1? You can't use most flashcarts with the DSi, including CycloDS last time I checked, and there is no GBA slot so you will not be able to play GBA roms with the EZ Flash.
Should I get a DS Lite before they get discontinued I'm a damn retard? hocuspocus;

I really think it would be fine to get a DSi if you don't already have a DS.

They are not going to discontinue the DS Lite because the DSi is being released, they know that the Guitar Hero games and shit use the GBA slot for peripherals, they would be throwing money away.

Crack open the battery, disconnect one of the pins, put it back together, turn on your PSP, and then you have to have some certain files on your memory stick, some mumbo-jumbo happens, and then you have custom firmware. hocuspocus;
With it you can run emulators and PSP games right off the memory card.
Seeing "mumbo-jumbo" in an explanation is never reassuring. n_u
Nah, thanks Hiro, I'll pass. I might get a DS Lite eventually.

This would also include acquiring the Pandora battery. If it's for me, I'm ready to make the effort, but for him... to be avoided.

All you do is open up the battery, disconnect one of the pins, and close it back up.
Why would they sell them, then?
You know what, nevermind. I'm still not doing this for him. I'm going to the movies.

Me too man. My SP and GBA are both long gone.
I'm hoping someone can get the apps in ROM form, and if possible, make a working emulator for them.
What the hell!?

akudood;
According to the DS Scene, it's going to be near impossible to run those apps off of your flashcart.
