So when will lawmakers notice the rating labels put on game boxes? We don't need more laws about selling video games with certain ratings, we need to get people to actually pay attention to them. Maybe some giant poster (movie poster size?) that explains the ratings in clear view of potential buyers would be a start.

I see those posters everywhere. The ESRB even got Mike from Penny Arcade to draw character interpretations for all the ratings (i.e. couple of younger kids for E10+, young boy for E, tween girl for T, college dude for M) and made huge posters to stick in the malls.
Parents simply don't care.
