EDIT: it's a Commodore 64. Programming your own games FTW.

I had one but my mom threw it out when we moved saddood;
Most of my favorite games were on the SNES. The original PlayStation will also always have a special place in my heart. giggle;
SNES. <3
That depends. I love my DS right now with my emulators, but if that doesn't count, my Ps2 takes the prize.

I absolutely love my PS2, but the only PS1 games I've ever taken a liking to are FF7 and The Legend of Dragoon.
SNES. Only console that ever mastered every genre.
I guess PS2/PS1 combo as well as the gamecube and N64. I guess PS2 overall because it can play PS1 games.

What about pet simulator?
Oh and by the way as far as I know "pet simulator" is just lumped together into sim games overall, and the SNES had SimCity, so there.
I really love my DS right about now. hocuspocus;
N64, PS1, Sega Saturn
In that order.

Albert Odyssey
The Legend of Oasis
Magic Knight Rayearth
Sim City 2000
Sonic 3D Blast
NiGHTs
Dragon force
The Panzer Dragoon
Virtua Cop
Myst
Then as for games that I hear are good buy have never played
Shinning Force 3
Virtua Fighter 1 and 2
Duke Nukem 3D
And yeah that's all I can think off the top of my head, theres more though. It was also the first game console I ever had so that might have something to do with it.
SNES because It had SMRPG and an awesome library of games all together.
Then PS2 and N64 tied up.
Then the 360 third
360 or N64.

lmao virtua fighter sucks so bad it's just hilarious...i have VF2 and it's completely terrible.
NiGHTS is good, but oh so incredibly overrated. Panzer Dragoon? The first one? Nah, PD Zwei is a lot better, and Saga costs too much to bother with. Sonic 3D Blast is okay I guess.
Haven't played any of those other ones.

Really? I always heard Virtua Fighter was good. Never played PD Zwei, and yeah I agree, but thankfully I had most of the games before the prices went up.

It's good if you like your characters to move so slow and jump so high that it's like they're on the moon and you really enjoy having no ability to chain together moves in any coherent way whatsoever.

Aside from shmups. Axelay is decent, but highly overrated and way too short and easy.
Of course, the Genesis is my favorite. It had a tremendous variety of everything and a massive number of shmups that put it far ahead of the Super Nintendo. The only thing the Super Nintendo had more of were RPGs, but most of the ones we got in the US really weren't anything I'd call great (SMRPG and Earthbound aside).
and can you kids please tell me why the hell you think the n64 is the greatest system ever. is it solely nostalgia or what. i can understand you other guys loving the super nintendo the most, and the ps2 too, but the n64? jesus
Its only truly excellent games were made by Rare, and they still only made a handful of games. Majora's Mask was also really good and I suppose Ocarina of Time was decent, but that's less than ten A++ games, while the Super Nintendo and Genesis each have dozens.
IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE

yeah, i don't get how the hell anyone could ever like virtua fighter. I suppose it's possible to say it was "good for its time", but goddamn this is like 15 years later and it's awful no matter what you compare it to. Soul Calibur, another 3D fighter, came out just 3 years later on the DC and it seems at least 15 years ahead of VF2.
also, the saturn actually does have a massive variety of great games of all genres, but the problem is only about 10% ever got brought to the us (sega of america didn't want any 2d games on their systems because it was "so last gen"). If you love shmups like me and price isn't a problem for you, I can easily understand it being one's favorite system.

Really?
REALLY?
You can talk about my "shit tastes" all you want, but there is no damn way in hell the 360 is that high up. Even if you choose to ignore Sega's great systems like you always do, there's still the NES and Gamecube which offer more. Hell, I can't believe I'm going to say this, but even the PS1 offered more than the 360 has or will.
i really think you need to buy a sega system sometime, any of them i don't care which
N64, duh.

The Genesis was cool.
And dreamcast was cool I guess
Other then that nothing special. The 360 has provided me with the most fun I've ever had from a video game console giggle;
