Title: Broken Wii
Post by: NewarkWilder on July 23, 2008, 12:19:55 AM
On normal video modes there's no picture but there's sound.
On progressive scan there's picture but no sound.

Aside from sending it back to Nintendo (which seems hopeless since I've had it since launch), is there any known remedies?

Looks to me like It's the cords that need to be replaced

So you got a progressive scan cord?

I still think the video card fried.

Either that or the plug is screwed up.

I looked up replacement options on Nintendo's site and they wanted $80 to replace it.

But in desperation I decided to use my smooth talk to persuade them on the phone.

Result? New Wii for free that's WAY past warranty.
