Someone installed this 'B-safe internet filter.'
It blocks everything. It blocked my home page because it had "Alchohol related news". gonk;
How do I make it 'dissapear'?

Does POWERade have the same affect?

Issue bein', I think one of my parents might have installed it. Chances are they won't be happy if I remove it.
I suppose I could get a password. doodthing;
Oh and nobody use profanity, this thing's super tempermental. baddood;

No, because they don't make it in big enough bottles.

Oh feces :'(
Get Linux, uninstall it, or suffer.
You can also just ask your parents why it's installed, instead of having to bypass it, because bypassing it is essentially the same as uninstalling it.
prohibition is back
I lol'd.
Confront your parents about it, and if they get pissed, uninstall it anyway. powerofone;
That's what I do with my mom.

Well, it depends on how they filter stuff. Is it a proxy, or does it locally block content?
ctrl alt del
find the exe of the program
stop it from running

It's called something like "B-Safe", I'm not sure exactly how it works.
www.bsafehome.com
Seriously your parents are dumbasses for installing that.

Then I guess the internet is liquor after all.

I'm seriously considering the possibility they might not trust me, they've got my curfew at 10:00 PM, they expect a status update on my daily activites and now
this.
Yeah, the most obvious thing to do is just stop the EXE from running. That way the program is actually still installed.

hm. :\
I never do anything, but they do want to always know what's up. :(
Ringo, I checked out the site and from what I understand it blocks the stuff locally, so there should be blacklists and such saved on the computer.
What processes are running in task manager?

What processes are running in task manager?
Too many to name right off the bat, about 45 so far. All belonging to either Compaq_Owner, SYSTEM, Local Service or NETWORK SERVICE.
Here you go Ringo:
QuoteTo remove the bsafe filter (in WinXP at least):
First, be sure you are logged in as an administrator. Then...
Kill the process:
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del all at once to bring up the task manager
Go to the Processes tab
Click Image Name to sort the processes by name
Find InetCntrl.exe, highlight it, and press End Process
Answer Yes to the warning that pops up
Close the task manager window
Prevent it from automatically starting:
Go to Start, Run, type "msconfig" (without the quotes--same with the other examples below) and press enter
Go to the Startup tab
Find the entry for InetCntrl and uncheck it
Press OK
IMPORTANT: Do NOT restart the computer when it asks. Choose Exit Without Restart
Remove the LSP it installed:
Go to Start, Run and type in "cmd" to bring up a command prompt window
type "netsh Winsock reset" and press enter
Once it finishes, restart your computer
Delete the program files:
Open up Windows Explorer (or go through My Computer) and find your "C:\Windows\system 32" folder
Find and delete the InetCntrl folder
Also, before you do that. Do me a favor just to test my curiousity: see if sites are blocked on FireFox or Opera.
