I am going to see Wall-E either later today or tomorrow, and I was going to go by myself since no one else I knew were not interested or had seen it already and did not want to spend money on another ticket.
I do not see many people buying tickets by themselves and if they are they are usually waiting for another person to join them.
Do only lonely people do this? Or do you sometimes enjoy a movie without the company of others?

I never go alone. Either with a close friend, or a woman.

I like watching movies by myself at home without interruptions and distractions, but I rarely go to the movies.  If I do go, it's just with my close friends.

I go with friends.
I actually usually wait until it comes out on DVD unless it's an excuse to hang out with some friends.

The way I see it, going to the theater is just another excuse to hang out with friends. So, for me, going alone kind of defeats the purpose.
Plus, I love discussing it with them after.

It's not as fun to go by yourself. I have no trouble watching movies at home by myself though.

At home? Most of the time, but sometimes I'll watch one with my bro.

I've never been to a movie by myself.

No never to the movies alone, but I can watch a DVD peacefully, although it's rare.

I agree, and fucking around in the movie theater, ruining the movie for others, is the best part.

The movie theater is just a few feet from my house and I'm always afraid to go because I have no friends and I think someone will see me and be like "lol dude what are you doing alone why don't you watch something with us"

I never have. But once I can drive, I might do that if there is a movie that none of my friends want to see.

I almost always go with friends or someone else, but I do go by myself on a rare occasion.
