so yeah I bought the box set thing that has the theatrical version and the redux for like 10 bucks.

I watched the normal version just before.

Oh god why did I wait so long. The imagery was mind boggling.

Don't watch Redux. Sucks shit. Kills the fucking pace of the movie.

I watched some of it yesterday but when it was time to insert disc 2 I switched back over to the regular version and finished from there.

your right it ruined the pace. The greatness of the movie was how it got crazier and more detached from sanity as they went farther up the river. Redux shat on that aspect.
