Title: If you could put video game accomplishments on your resume...
Post by: strongbad on April 27, 2008, 09:05:04 PM
What would you put?
The only think that comes to my mind would be getting a wii/dsl on the first day they came out and being a somewhat above average Tetris DS player.

Well, pretty much putting every game I have beaten which is like all of my games. Maybe saying that I have beat ever Zelda games made in the series, or getting a 45 on Halo 3 online.

Also how is getting a system on release date an accomplishment?

It's easiest with engineer.
I got 43 the other day on 2fort. Dumb faggots kept running into my sentry.

for engineers, it'd be easier

You don't have to aim to whack your sentry. Hell, you can be 20 feet away and looking at the sky and you can still upgrade it.

For a soldier or demoman trying to take it out or just look around the corner, it'd be almost impossible, I'd assume.

engineer is the fucking hardest class to play on the 360 version because building shit takes a painstakingly long time to do.

Every other class its just fine. You just have to play 1 console FPS and you pretty much get used to the controls for all of them.

Sniping on PC is much more easier to do though.

Except half of each team is composed of snipers and you can rarely do much but snipe other snipers.

There need to be more isolated areas that are good for snipers, but not open to other windows that let other snipers take you down. Areas like where only you can be killed by soldiers and spies because you're up on a distant cliff or something with a wall preventing enemies from just resting at their spawn point and killing you with no trouble. Pretty much every map is mirrored and makes true sniping impossible.

I haven't played as a sniper for a few weeks now.

Well sniping on 2Fort or whatever that map is called is fun to me. Some servers are filled with snipers but some aren't and on those servers it is fun to snipe the occasional sniper, ward off incoming scouts, avoid soldier rockets, and of course attempt to shoot whatever you see.

What class do you play the most now?

I've always mostly been a spy with sniper in between.

I got sick of being useless and now exclusively play Spy.

I tried Spy.

I suck with it. Either I'm too impatient or something else happens, but I always manage to get caught and killed.

Too bad they run too slow which kinda ruins the fun for me.  :(

That's why I like scout sometimes. I mean, I never get more than 4-5 kills but it's still fun rushing.

Scouts are only good when you want to capture control points within the first 30 seconds

It's worth it, since it gives you a few extra seconds of stealth before the opposing team realizes who you are.
