Title: WiiWare
Post by: bluaki on March 23, 2008, 08:01:05 PM
What are your thoughts on it? I think it's starting either in April or May. (it's the games for Wii that will be downloadable for a fee similarly to Virtual Console but are original games rather than ports)

The announced games for it look way better than I expected for fitting on the Wii's tiny internal memory, but I'm sure people who use WiiWare games much will be running out of internal storage often. I think I want the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and maybe the Pokemon Ranch ones, but I don't know enough about them to really tell.

Nintendo probably needs to make it possible to boot channels off of an SD card or, better yet, a USB mass storage device/external HDD befuddlement

Do we have any gameplay vids of FFCC? That's really the only thing that I'm interested in. Oh also, is it co-op?

Bah, I'll pass. I rarely ever play any VC games I download off the virtual console anyway plus most of the Wiiware games look like shit.

IGN had one last time I checked. It's not really the same type of game though, it's like a sandbox type of thing.

I'm only buying Pokemon Ranch because I need a way to store my Pokemans.

I liked Pokemon Box.
I don't even see any official confirmation that it does indeed store your pokemons. If it doesn't, I'm not getting it.
