I don't see any excuse for sucking at gym, unless you're like felt and have an abundance of medical problems.
Thank you for reminding me for the reason behind my 3.3 GPA. doodthing;
is gym required in college :'(
Not all regions follow the same standards. My school only required you to change clothes, but others may judge by performance.
I just sat there with my friends and talked during "free days".

My school didn't include gym in the GPA calculation since it was pretty much a guaranteed A if you just participated.

Actually, my school requires half a credit. doodthing;
I'll do it next year, I didn't have a spot to do anythng this semester

I've never attended a school that graded it on performance.

My school requires it as part of the gen ed.
If I could pass gym, why couldn't Felt?
Anyways, I took PE in middle school. In High School, band counted as PE credit because of marching band. It also counts as fine arts, too. <3

Good. That should provide some nice padding for my grade next year, seeing as though I never skip class. Now if only they had AP gym...

Gym is pretty much a freshman class at my school, then there is Advanced Gym.
Well, let's see dressing out is only half the points in my gym class and I only got two points during the days we were playing shit that that I can't do, like basketball, baseball, and kickball, so that's why I have like 65% in gym.
Quote from: Houdini on March 15, 2008, 09:56:09 PM
BS.
You have to take standard gym first, and second year is AP.
OH GOD I JUST REMEMBER WE'RE SWIMMING WHEN WE RETURN FROM SPRING BREAK. wry
I don't like dressing out.
I failed the written PE final and I still got an A in the class.
All you have to do is try or at least pretend to try, it's the easiest class to get an A in.

You know that is a symptom that your school is not accredited-- losing your chances of going to college?

It's not an actual AP course.
Plus, the audit should have removed these courses from view.

That may be true, but the pool is almost always freezing plus my hair gets all frizzy after I've been swimming for two damn weeks.

That wouldn't happen if you would wash your hair every once in a while.

I do, I bring my shampoo and conditioner with me to school so I can wash my hair before I change and then I take a real shower when I get home.
I always got straight a's.
All I had to do is show up and bring my clothes. baddood;
I loved Gym, best class by far, and as JMV said, the A was guaranteed.
shitty teacher haha
i loved fucking around in that class so much god i miss it

I finished gym class last year. :'(
I fucking loved it.
I passed Gym with a fucking D because the actual "physical" part wasn't even 50% of our grade. If it were, I would've had an A.
My gym class, 9th and 10th, we had worksheets and projects like fucking crazy. And we had a grad standards project where we had to write our own fitness plan based on our usual physical activity. And our teacher's directions were so vague, it was nearly impossible to please that lesbian bitch.
My PE class was HEALTH/PE, so yes it was very possible to not get an A.
A lot of times I forget to bring my gym clothes.

My school changed the rules on that so not changing won't take away that many points, and you actually have to put a lot of effort to get an A, which is impossible for the average student. :(

It doesn't say good effort. Just let the ball hit you in the face a couple times, and you're in

I do dress out. psyduck; Thankfully since it's the last class of the day she doesn't mind if we wear our normal shirts so I just wear my shorts under my pants and take my pants off when I get to the gym.

Also, try bunting if you can't hit the ball

Do something, I'd rather have a kid on my team who swings with all effort trying to hit the ball and strikes out in three than have some dipshit get up there and look like he's waiting for the second coming of Christ in order to move.
In my gym class most of our mark was based on these stupid reflections we had to write. And then we had to read articles on how to stay healthy and answer questions on them. I did okay, but I really didn't care about the course at all so my mark wasn't great or anything. In retrospect, I could easily have gotten a better mark, because I'm pretty sure our teacher never actually read anything and based your mark entirely on how much you wrote. My friend more or less confirmed this by putting "I am writing this sentence because I feel like it" in the middle of his final report: the teacher didn't even comment on it.
One guy failed, but his record for attendance was three days in a row so it was understandable.
