I can't really find any Wavebirds, and a wired controller really won't do, so I guess I'll have to use the Wii remote sideways.
NEVERMIND LOL THE WII REMOTE WAY SUCKS
Gamecube
I have 4 Wavebirds in my room. caterpie;
Wavebird. thumbup;
I hope all your children experience brain damage from your Wavebirds' RF signals.
Gamecube, and I don't need a stupid wavebird.
I like my Wavebirds.
Wavebird or Classic Controller.
Wii Remote and Nunchuck, but if it sucks, I'll use the Gamecube controllers. doodella;

Being convenient is so stupid.
I really don't know. Just not Classic. I'll have to try them all out first. Wiimote sideways looks interesting.

if by" interesting" you mean "shitty", yes.
When I get Brawl, I will use a Gamecube controller.

how so
The lack of analog control is a huge turn off for me.The buttons are all cramped, and no matter what using the plus and minus buttons during smash(a game about frame by frame gameplay) doesn't seem that cool.Though it has that traditional fighter charm too it, I probably won't use it.

Well, I don't know if it will rule or suck. Just have to try and see.

Because I grew to hate them when I went over to my friends' houses, who had wavebirds, and then having to scour their house for batteries because the controller was dead. Then we'd end up sitting 5 feet away from the console anyways, defeating any purpose the wavebird might serve aside from not tangling cords. They were also very clunky in comparison with the standard controller, which I didn't really appreciate.
But other than that I appreciate their usefulness
wiimote with nunchuk and if i dont like it then gcn

Wavebirds take a really long time to kill their batteries, so that first thing is hardly an issue. And it's not the Wavebird's fault that your friend and his/her family can't keep track of batteries.
They're not clunky at all. They're almost exactly the same as the normal ones. doodthing;

So is a controller being wireless.
Or maybe both are subjective, idk.

Not entirely, don't get tangled, and they generally last longer then corded, if you have a large room you can move around.

- Small luxury
- I've never broken a corded controller
- Why would I be moving around while playing a game

It's still a luxury
Good for you.
I think he meant that you can move to other, possibly more comfortable places of the room, before you play.
Probably Gamecube or Classis, they are both very similar

If it's a luxury, that just means it's an extra unnecessary feature. So saying it's more than a small one really doesn't do a whole lot. psyduck; It just further re-iterates my point that wirelessness is about as important as rumble.

You can trip over wires, and end up breaking your controllers and other things like that. It happens.
Rumble isn't convenient like a wireless controller is.

Oh, and I could break a wireless controller by stepping on it.
Definitely classic controller.
I FUCKING LOVE THE CLASSIC

It's not like I was implying that wireless controllers are indestructible. They're still convenient though.

I'd imagine a controller with removable parts and nothing binding it to the system would be more easily broken.

If you trip over the wires, you might knock your TV down; the controller will be unharmed unless your body is composed of osmium.

Unless you sit 30 feet from the TV, or you're using Genesis controllers, wireless has no benefits aside from preventing clutter.

...Gamecube controllers do not have 30 feet of wire. In every case except my dorm room, I've had to sit on the edge of my seat so as to not accidentally pull the console while using a Gamecube controller. Their wires are really not all that long.

I actually sit in front of the TV, and why can't you just move your chair if it's too far away?
i like the cingular bar effect we have in the poll

Now I have to play brawl in shitty fold up chairs in my living room. >.<

Quit bitching and just deal with it. Either you'd be too far away to see anything if the cords can't reach, or your TV is so huge it's disgusting.

It's not huge. I just have no problem seeing from a comfortable distance like you seem to.
And I do deal with it. WITH WAVEBIRDS.
my how this works out
i bought a classic controller today for brawl

The classic controller lived up my hype.
Control scheme works great.
I'm using the Wii Remote + Nunchuck - mostly out of convenience.

I've been using it all day. Haven't tried any other way. But I think I may change the Special attack to A, and attack to B.
Wii Remote + Nunchuk; wanted to get used to it and I did, just in case I go to someone's house without a Gamecube controller or enough of them because I figured most people will play the GCN controllers.
Also I like to have my hands apart when playing.
Wii Remote+Nunchuck is perfect for me. baddood;
The only problem I have is, after holding the Nunchuck for a while, my left hand starts to hurt, a lot. emo;
gcn controller.
i didnt even try with the wiimote. baddood;
I'm already use to my classic controller with it.
GAMECUBE CONTROLLER spam;

Only thing I changed was disabling jumping by hitting up.
wii remote+nunchuck since i had an xbawks last gen
and wii remote alone sucks.
I used to use my wavebird but switched to Wiimote + Nunchuck befuddlement
I like it better, and I think my wavebird was being gay since it was so old and the analog stick wasn't responding. baddood;
Also motion sensing smashing is pretty cool

Brawl Startup Screen > Options > Controls > Your Name > Wii Remote with Nunchuck >Shake Smash > On > Save

You don't need a wavebird to do it. I have one Wavebird that works, one that's broken. Did fine with four people in one room. I might buy anudda, though.
