Title: help wii noises

This isn't my video, but that's the noise my Wii makes. Is this normal or not?
It's been making that sound for a while now, and it's so loud it distracts from the game. I remember it being quieter. Is there any way to fix this without shipping it to Nintendo? >.<

The first few weeks I had my Wii it made noises while playing games, esspecially during MP3. Now it's quiet as a church mouse. It could be due to updates, or it's just how the Wii is. Is your Wii fully updated? How recently was it purchased? You might wanna send it in just in case. I hope you didn't buy too many VC games...

Just got the latest update a few minutes ago, purchased in February '07, and the only VC game I own is the original Super Mario Bros. for the NES.

You have a 2 year warranty? I'd just send it in or wait a few days and see if it continues. It seems like an internal issue, so I'd send it in.

It's funny how the whole thread thought that you were talking about red steel.

It's normal.  That is the sound a young, male Wii makes when he is masturbating.

maybe unplugging it and letting the best cool down would help since it's always on

And at least it's not a Dreamcast.

That sound in the video sounds a little louder than the DC.

You mean turn off the WiiConnect24 mode?
I'll give it a try, but last week it was completely unplugged for a while, and still, as soon as I turned it on, I still got that sound. :(

This is why every once and a while I completely unplug my Wii.

The damn thing is always running, so you have to give it a break for a few days. Send it back and see what Nintendo can do with it.
