Why is it that you dumbasses bash Macs so much but try to hard to make your computers emulate the look of a Mac or try to install a Mac on your computer?
If Windows can truly do more than a Mac, then you would have no reason to install OS X.
You're just not able to afford a Mac / Don't know how to use one so you claim it sucks.

Here's a secret. There are many Windows using trying to make their GUI look like that of a Mac. I can't think of any Mac users doing the same.

but anyways, a few nice/pretty gui components doesn't mean the entire operating system is superior, nor does criticizing it bar one from liking a minor feature

I think it might be owing to the fact that OS X's GUI already resembles OS X's GUI. gimp;

Vista isn't that much different from XP to me, the only noticeable difference is Aero and the rather odd Hardware requirements.

um ya BSDs use different commands. They aren't the same as GNU/Linux. Similar, but not the same.
Even then, where the fuck are you getting the idea you need sudo? Very little needs to be done from the terminal nowadays, and even then you can do everything you need to by just using su and logging in as a superuser so you don't need sudo. I've never bothered with it.
And I can tell you've never even touched it. This ease of use bullshit applies to any OS with a modern GUI. Luna, Aero, Aqua, GNOME, KDE, XFCE...quite honestly I see no difference in ease of use.

You're still missing one thing. I guess free things just don't deserve the same attention, especially when it's users are all like you.
You're an idiot if you think Linux isn't well known.

Not everything works on Linux.
Most stuff does. The only major problems right now are X-Fi and ATI cards. But AMD is allowing people to create their own drivers by releasing critical information, so the second one is null.
And Linux is not FreeBSD or GNU/Darwin. The BSDs are a completely different system than GNU/Linux, developed a different way, and hold very different freedom philosophies.

I've used plenty of the most popular OSes, but the only one I've ever truly felt comfortable with is OS X. You can say, "Oh, _____ can run _____ which makes it looks just like a Mac," but it never really
feels like a Mac and of course lacks native OS X apps.

I prefer Windows XP over everything else because I'm used to it. Nothing has changed since I was using 2000 and when I movd up it was easy to do. That, and everything I use Works on Windows.
Vista is another problem though.

most sane operating systems have some sort of privilege authorization software; if you don't like administrative privileges being limited to legit users, just log in as root all the time and see what happens
