Or is it ever the other way around? And you hate the character that everyone loves, and you hate the character thats meant to be loved.
I've never liked a character that's meant to be hated but I've hated characters that are meant to be liked.

I love Presea, from ToS, even though she's slow as hell and not entirely useful in battle. She also has that generic "sad indifference" attitude (though in her defense, the Cruxis Crystal was doing that to her).
BUT SHE'S JUST SO GOD DAMN CUTE
