Title: The activity around here these days is a bit depressing.
Post by: Samus Aran on November 14, 2007, 01:49:16 AM
Sure, we're still moderately active still, but god, it seems like we used to be just bustling with posts. It used to be hard to keep up with every last thread (though I still did). Now it's too easy.

I know lots of people post threads like this, and lots of people say we need to invite people, but nothing ever seems to get done. So I ask...where can we advertise that we haven't already tried? Can anyone think of any places?

Oh, and for those of you who are signed up at places that are even remotely related to Nsider that haven't already been tried, you guys should really try advertising. Just make sure not to get banned. I hear *hen* has some forum where there's a lot of Nsiders that aren't at NSF or Nsider2. I don't remember what the place is called, though.

If it keeps getting worse, I'll throw caution to the wind and leak this place on /b/ or something.  powerofone;

Jesus Christ, posting it on /b/ is a last resort. Be glad it's too late at night for most of the biggest assholes there to see it.

Why the hell would you advertise Boyah on /b/? That's idiotic. Shouldn't be a resort at all.

we got one member that way, but he left after 11 posts.

He was spamming up our guest board and shit, and eventually got tired and asked to join.  caterpie;

I got it, Mass PM sending:
     "Dear Nsider,
Boyah, is a forum that you may not be very familiar with and if you are some what familiar with it, chances are you have just been assuming about what Boyah is about. Boyah is apart of the Valentrinne network and is home to many Nsiders, like yourself, who were looking for a forum to go to after Nsider had turned belly-up. Boyah does fulfill your Nsider needs but goes beyond that. On Boyah you are given way more freedom and your account is much more customizable than on the other "Nsider clones" that you may have/are attending (Hint: There is an online shop with it's own virtual currency that helps perform such changes). Boyah has a wide variety of planned events like tourneys and contests that tend to happen at random times during the year. Also on Boyah the discussion has a wide variety of topics that can be talked about. Like for instance there is a Serious Discussion board, where many deep conversations are held, a Foreign forum board, where you can talk about other forums and/or online communities, and , of course, a video game board, which is pretty self-explanatory.
      So, does Boyah sound like fun? Check it out for yourself at valentrinne.com/boyah. Have fun, make sure you join, and tell your friends about Boyah.^_^ Thank you for your time!"

That is just an idea and it is open for reevaluation. The kawai emote is even thrown in there to appease them. is it worth forwarding?

No offense Kono, but I don't think having you send the PM would be the best idea.

Although your posts here are a lot better than what they were at NSider and it doesn't seem like anyone here wants to kill you now, a lot of members there probably won't give you a chance at proving yourself right away.

I don't really matter to this place, but if I did, I'm inactive because I'm busy nowadays and I've other forums I attend. Cuccoscratch, (Hen's forum. This place is very well done, actually. :)) Emblem Memories (NSiders who attended the Fire Emblem board) and Battle Frontier (The good NSiders who attended the Pokemon Board.)

Like it would really matter. Chances are either you'd get banned or it would go completely unnoticed.

I remember when NSider was still alive and I made a thread about getting members, and people starting whining about how we were a small community and they liked it like that and having more members would be bad.

Now it seems as if the lack of members is killing our fun. I WARNED YOU GUYS.

I like a nice small community, but this is a bit too small. :'(
We need to have posts constantly coming in. We should never have 30 minutes+ of silence, unless it's like 4:00 AM.

That's because we still had a lot of our old members, we were active, and we didn't have much tolerance for idiots.

Be a little more friendly. We may drive out some members with all our shit.

Then again, if they're offended, do we even want them?

All I can say is send PM's to intelligent Nsider 2 people.
