reinstalled ubuntu and i3 a week or so ago, and this time configured i3 as my main wm instead of putting it on top of xfce
finally got everything nice and pretty hocuspocus;
tbf i haven't updated my desktop since about 2010 so its probably in some dead thread somewhere

um okay i guess. i've gone through vimtutor and have a printout of vim commands on my desk at work lol
i like things with high levels of mastery. even though i am a huge noob at programming and would be fine with gedit or nano i like the idea that if i continue to use vim for a couple years i'll keep improving at it (and i already find it to be a really efficient editor just with my basic skills too)
although i also already was used to hjkl from roguelikes which helped a ton
