Title: gpu market blues
Post by: 6M69I69B9 on March 24, 2021, 07:26:01 PM
so i just want a 3060
but tfw shit gets botted every time now
i don't play too many demanding things, but id like to stream with my gpu more reliably.
rn have a 1060
every option I select for streaming; whether it be max perf or quality, the resolution after recording just blows compared to recording things with my cpu

hell last winter there were some 1660 supers that came out and that stock was gone in hours, i was trying to find one for my brother when building his. but he ended up just getting a reg one. w/e, works for him

lol this market is so crazy, i actually sold a gtx 760 for $69 that i bought for $40, did not think id get a return on even that lol

i'm considering it lol but it's in a secondary pc that i use on my living room big screen and lord knows when i'd pick something up to replace it. i've been trying to snag a 3060 to basically trade, but have yet to be successful lol.

idk, it doesn't get a ton of use (i use the thing for streaming from my 3080 rig in my office mostly lol) but i do play fall guys and rocket league on it on occasion and i can't do that with the shitty integrated graphics on the CPU on that thing cuz its hella old lol

all bc crypto's fucking wilding out rn

im actually searching it out rn, if you have a gtx 1070 8gb it'll be like minimum $400+ in secondary, lmao the fucking 1st party market's selling them for $800-1000
idk how much you bought it initially but dam this is nuts

my fucking zotac gtx 1060 6gb specifically is also going for $400 somehow LMAO
all prices for secondary are all ebay based btw
i got mine initially for 170 bones lol

yup i have a MSI gtx 1070 8b armor oc or whatever and they sell for $400-$500 on ebay. I originally bought the thing for $430 in june of 2016, per my receipt lol. it's insanity. if i can manage to get lucky as hell and grab a 3060 for the $400 msrp then that shit is going on ebay for sure, but i don't see it happening lol.

what's even more tempting is my 3080 is selling for well over 2 fucking grand lmao, used!!

bought a 3060ti off by $800-$1000 (for $487 with s&h + taxes)

id suggest buying one right now before crypto ever rises again
apparently some have even fallen below msrp
