akes a fish spawn where you throw it. So if you need a fish that only shows up in a specific location like the stringfish or sturgeon, you can throw it, see if it's the right size shadow, scare off the fish if not, throw more bait, repeat.
I would almost never see fish in the mouth of the river for sturgeon so it was p useful. Also good for finding blue marlin and tuna off the pier. But you still find mostly junk fish

discovered that if you drop a wasp's nest but you aren't ready for it (like you dont have your net out), you can actually cheese them by sitting on your item menu, waiting for them to be just far enough away from you as they hover around you in a circle, and then picking your net. you'll have time to run again, which will give you time to get far enough away to turn around and catch em
amusingly, they will also hover around you while you're on your phone

yeah, i think i had a meteor shower the first two nights in a row or something, and at first i wasn't trying to get them all but then i got to like 55 and saw that the final nook miles level was 200 so I just sat around for an extra hour or so doing other things and just tapping A when I heard the chime

if they really are gradually adding all that stuff, then i have to say - genius move by Nintendo if the goal is to stretch this game's relevance out as long as possible
you could argue that it should have all been in the game in the first place, but at the same time, gradually adding it is more in line with the animal crossing style of slow, steady, relaxing gameplay and progression
it's pretty neat imo

nope, there's no way to "kick" a villager out of the game, it will randomly pick a villager who will ask you if they can leave, so if someone has a speech/thought bubble above their head be sure to talk to them
