i realized i hadn't had mcdonalds in ages so we decided to order some (they do motorbike delivery in bkk lol). looking at the online menu i saw the double big mac was only like 20 baht more than the normal big mac so why not? gf and i also split an xl fries for the occassion
the motorbike delivery man called me and i dont speak thai so i had to put him on the phone with our security guard who helped him get to our condo. i should have given the security guard some fries but i was too excited to eat mcdonalds. all our food was barely warm (mcdelivery sucks) and it was okay to eat
but man while i didnt feel that gross after my double big mac, i was super dehydrated for like 4 hours after eating. probably all the fries and the sodium in the burger but shit i couldnt stop drinking water it was weird. it was a good reminder that mcdonalds is still shit and i shouldnt eat it

yeah the problem with mcdonalds in thailand is that it isn't the cheapest/fastest option like it is in the states
hard to justify spending more on mcdonalds when i can get fried rice or a plethora of other dishes for even cheaper lol
and where im at the only fast food chains are kfc and mcdonalds lol
and right outside the kfc there is a place that sells all kinds of chicken including fried chicken and its cheaper and tastes way better

McDonald's prices, locally, are high enough that unless 10 minutes of waiting (or having to call ahead) are too much it's usually about the same price to go to a local restaurant and get food
