On boards where the community is research-oriented,
this capability is invaluable.

Especially if the communities are oriented
on the research of the appropriate behavior of Humans
in direct contacts with primates..
having been grivitated from the Trees to the.. OverGrounds.

Well, yeah, but after much discussion about trackbacks and certain aspects of grivitation which generate exploitable vulnerabilities, I thought that Tree View would be a more acceptable concept on the board you got banned on cuz you said they were monkeys. Tree View might be something they could grasp better, and it wouldn't have vulnerabilities for a board to get attacked. One thing that is not going to change, Gri, regardless of your fondness for them: efforts to keep spammer/hackers OUT.

I'm really not sure what you are hoping to achieve with your proposal.

Clara,

~** Umbilical cords (http://grivit.tk/index.php?topic=Umbilical_cords_mod.msg1096#msg1096)~
is one of the most compact and appropriate titles
for this human feature.

Do you Accept this title for the feature
which you were not sure what to call
at the moment of your original posting ?

If it used a better economy of letters I might. I'm just one of those old fashioned telegraph types who counts letters instead of words. Tree is good.

Winding grivitonik is a vector.
It can be incoming (..) [grivitinik]
       or outgoing (**) [grivitoutik]
or conditionally indifferent ().

People not involved in serious research usually don't, and that's the problem with not only SMF but Wedge as well. They think that the only people on the planet are kids and gamers. No wonder the current crop of neocons in Congress want to pull the plug on Granny--they just can't get rid of old folks (and their imaginary various  mother figures) fast enough.

Speaking of which, Gri, this is why I make doublestrike typos...this font is too itty bitty for senior eyes.

Wouldn't the neocons just keep voting for the neocons baddood;

Yes, that's a more apt description, actually.  If you continue to follow the SMF thread you'll discover that I have exactly that issue with the now-deceased PBS Discussions board. Hence my interest in your project, even though our objectives are different.

Of course. And that's currently the case as if politics were a religion.

You'd be surprised. There were even Southerners who assisted the Underground Railroad, and that was before Granny's time.

So changing the view will magically fix all vulnerabilities? Do you even know how to program?

She's stated she doesn't.

I think she meant the vulnerabilities associated with Gri's proposed changes, most of which, make it easy for spammers to inject their content.

Depends on the language. I'm a granny, after all. If we were talking about CP/M I'd say yes...but we're not, are we. As I told Gri before--I know only enough board programming language to get my face slapped.

Bingo. You are quite correct.

Okay, I got the experimental board up, using SMF 1.1.14 cuz of what Gri said about 2.0.  http://www.hypercrites.org/hominids/index.php You get to be Admin, Gri. Anybody else who's aboard this project, too.
