Title: To anyone using Windows 7
Post by: Daddy on January 15, 2009, 09:34:00 AM
http://www.useragent.org/ please go there and copypaste the string similar to:

Your User Agent is: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121622 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.5

Do it while posting on Windows 7 so i can see what it's detected as and what its string is so I can add it sometime if I feel like it.

Well, it correctly shows as Windows NT 6.1 so I can probably change that if I get the User Agent string. baddood;

Its logo is just a slightly more glossy and flat-looking version of the XP logo.

Easier solution: just click this link and I'll tell JMV the info he wants without you having to write it down:

User agent logged!
Weird, I get two instances logged for you and their loading times are only one second apart while having completely different user agent:
Samsung-SPHM620 AU-MIC-M620/2.0 MMP/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; OpenWeb 5.7.2.3-02) Opera 8.54

I guess it's the first one that matters more, as it sounds realistic for K-detection to apply the first useragent it gets during the posting then ignore any later ones and also because your browser isn't marked as Opera 8.54.

Well I have Opera mini but i usually just run the default browser like right now. I could help you more if i understood that stuff, but I can't. should i try it again?

Well I have Opera mini but i usually just run the default browser like right now, and if not then the remaining info is contributed by simply posting some time after JMV edits the. I could help you more if i understood that stuff, but I can't. should i try it again?
Nah, me and JMV probably have all the info we need (if not, then the rest would be obtained from you making any post after JMV edits the files).
I'm just confused why your phone would send useragent info for a browser that you're not using at the time in addition to the one you are using in two seperate attempts to load the web page..

On normal computers, the OS is like Windows XP and the Browser is like Mozilla Firefox.
On your phone, the OS is Samsung SPHM620 firmware, while you have two browsers: Opera Mini and an unnamed (as far as anyone cares, that is) samsung browser

Because I tried naming it "Hiro's fucking phone" and it caused that error you got.

Um, that's lame. :( lol try naming it Web Bowser and give it a browser sprite
Title: Re: To anyone using Windows 7
Post by: Daddy on January 15, 2009, 11:15:48 PM
uhm like wtf.  i dont get why the os on the opera one shows as java.

//Java on mobile
   if(preg_match('/j2me/si', $user_agent) && !$k_detected['os'])
   {$k_detected['os'] = "Java Platform Micro Edition";
   $k_detected['os_ico'] = "java";}

that isn't found anywhere in the string and what is 's' in regular expressions. i know 'i' is case insensitive.

Well, opera mini is a java application
Title: Re: To anyone using Windows 7

Yes, but it's not part of the user agent string.
