It's coming to PS4 and Switch in 2019. Considering that the other 7 releases in the FFCC series have been Nintendo-exclusive, I'm surprised they're moving to PlayStation.
It looks like there's now a combined minimap on the TV instead of splitting up the map pieces (geography, enemies, treasure) across four GBA screens. This version supports online multiplayer.
Some other details I'm interested in that I can't find answers to yet:
* Is there still local multiplayer support or is it online only?
* Will they take away the multiplayer objectives or just not make them secret anymore?
* Will they change how the Chalice or Mog work in any way?
* This game really needs PS4/Switch cross play
I can't find a better screenshot so I took one from the youtube stream myself.
This looks like a 4-player online multiplayer session, viewed from the perspective of the Clavat player. The Chalice and Miasma seem to be working exactly the same here as they do in the GameCube game. With the bigger 16:9 screen I feel like they should've at least widened the circle.

i feel like this would have been better as a switch reveal, considering the switch version will easily outsell the ps4 version by like a 10:1 margin i would think lol but whatever :3

Maybe it was supposed to be revealed in the Nintendo Direct last week, and Sony only got the first reveal because of the delay.
Considering Sony's policies, I'm guessing there'll be no cross-platform PS4/Switch multiplayer. Can we all agree to get the Switch version so we can all play together as a boyah group y/n
oh i'm deff getting this shit ON SWITCH like god intended

Hell yeah I'm getting this
i mean the original game is decent but not that great so while i'm interested in a possibly improved version i'm not exactly itching to buy this lol
i always wanted to play this game but i dont know how they expected people to have all the needed adapters and gameboys to make it happen
if i ever get a switch i'll probably pick it up
oh it's not a great game, but it's a hoot with your pals and a tall glass of sodie pop IMO
I'll get it if they change the final boss to not be just a gimmick fight.

is it just a coop ARPG? what made it neat besides the GBA gimmick? i remember playing the nds version a little bit and kind of liking it i think
hope the co-op is any good, only reason the original was worth a damn- though the setup was pricey and unwieldy

It's not "just co-op," but it's more of a boring slog to play by yourself so co-op is definitely the way to go
It'll be a boring slog in co-op anyway, for the one on bucket duty.
thats why you get the guy you dont like to be bucket bitch duh
