Title: If you were a doctor
Post by: Selkie on July 04, 2013, 07:06:59 PM
Hypothetically, there is a parent with children who needs a heart transplant immediately, and another person recently deceased is a perfect match, but is not a donor.

Would you perform the surgery anyway?

Going to sell all of my organs on my deathbed to the highest bidders and then use the money to fund a really expensive and exciting cremation/bonfire.

No because the child has not gained enough life experience to be considered aware and so his life is meaningless until his third eye is awoken

No. If someone's wishes are to be kept intact, I honor them.

I'd be a heartless bastard and let the child die.

I hate kids, anyway.

Is the person in the need of a transplant a "parent with a child" (from redundancy land) or is there a parent whose child needs a transplant.

can you even transplant adult hearts into a kid?

It is very brutal. Very little respect for the body as a whole, only a series of problems to be tackled, and chopped off. I hate to think of progress down this path, it will never reach the epitome. Our best hope is eugenics, but they are left to play with mice instead of strengthen Man.
