I would say it's allowed to put ranch on, but I don't really like it much. If it's really crappy pizza I'll put kewpie mayo on it but generally just crystal hot sauce
i don't necessarily disagree with dipping but only crummy pizza benefits much from being dipped

Absolutely. Buffalo ranch too. I've made a garlic bacon mix and put it in ranch as well.
Marinara also works. Pizza by itself, when made properly, is also great alone.
