Video game locations that are not a fictionalized version of Los Angeles are boring (prove me wrong!) most video designers too often lack the BRAIN POWER to design a vibrant world to rival the one that already exists in Southern California (SMALL minded!)
If all games took place in LA maybe I would play them like I do with GTA V
