As some of you may know, I mainly listen to songs from video games I've played. And I'm getting kind of sick of it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Portishead is obligatory.
Well what kind of styles do you typically find the coolest? Rock, electronic, etc.?
I guess you can just look around this board for what bands people have been listening to, and try some of them to see if you like any of them.

Don't really know, but nothing too slow. I get bored easily.
How do I try.
Also, things with memorable melodies. Catchy tunes and all that jazz.
Listen to BT.
He is techno/electronic and incorporates jazz/classical sounds into his music.
This Binary Universe is amazing. Incredible melodies and perfect flow of sounds.

The Mars Volta, but avoid Frances the Mute.
crazy shit's always going on in all of their songs, but frances the mute is slow and dull and half of the damn album is just emptiness

Those are my favorite albums by them, and Bedlam in Goliath is also pretty cool but really insane and takes longer to actually admire.
