Option 4: 1.5x or more (god why would you do this)

Option 5: Other (elaborate)

this almost certainly applies to android alone but idk (sorry icucks, i don't know if a setting like this exists on ios lol)
But anyway, I have mine set to 0.5x. Android feels much snappier that way. goodjob;
turning them off entirely would be even faster but it just looks odd and possibly causes glitches
the 'other' option is there because the scales can be mixed for different animation types (window/transition/duration), but i don't know why anyone would do this
i have an android and i have no idea what you're talking about confuseddood;
1x on everything which is the default.
I've tried no animations for a minute before but that was too jarring.
huh
I just leave mine at the default 1x. Developer options aren't really meant for everyday use and it's not like animations ever bother me on my phone. On my desktop, on the other hand, I use a gnome extension to speed up animations.

Android developer options let you change the speed of animations, like 0.5x makes them twice as fast, 2x makes them twice as slow
The options are: animations off, 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 5x, 10x

settings > developer options > set window/transition animation scales, and animation duration scale, all to 0.5x
and instantly your device seems snappier
in truth, i partly made this topic to get a sense of how many people are aware of this at all lol sillydood;
it's a very quick and easy way to make lagdroid
feel faster
i have a shitapple

as you can see, it does make a difference
although i personally stick to 0.5x as turning animations off entirely is, as lote says, a little too jarring imo lol
I only have the option to remove animations
Pixel 2 btw

You should definitely have the option to tweak animations in increments of .5 in settings > developer options. befuddlement
at least, as far as oreo goes lol
How is that Pixel treating you, by the way? goowan
I didn't in Oreo and I don't in Pie that I can see
Also it's a good phone but the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter broke already
